About Us

Pile of wooden letters as literacy and education background

The creation of this website was funded by the Knowledge Exchange (KE) Office of the University of Hong Kong. This website is intended as an online platform for the practice, learning, teaching and research of interpreting. The glossary of bilingual Chinese-English terms on current affairs represents the hard work of our students over many years as bilingual terms were collected from the news and built into a sizable database of thousands of entries. While the bilingual glossary and the Chinese training resources are specifically intended for those who speak Chinese and English, the rest of the information provided on this website is useful to all those who are related to interpreting in one way or another, be they professional or aspiring interpreters, interpreter trainers or users, researchers of interpreting studies or even the general public with an interest in interpreting.
