提起奧運會，你或許會想起近年為香港屢獲獎牌的「女飛魚」何詩蓓、「劍神」張家朗，他們都是曾於奧運會得獎的香港運動員，但除了奧運會及殘疾奧運會以外，同樣由國際奧林匹克委員會舉辦的國際賽事，還有聾人群體每四年一度的盛事，聾人／聽障奧林匹克運動會（Deaflympics）。

Bethan Lishman, from Brigham, near Cockermouth, Cumbria, has represented her country four times at the Deaflympics, a series of event for deaf athletes who compete at an international level, and has twice captained Team GB.
