發展局局長甯漢豪表示，政府一直為市建局提供財政支援，讓其以財政自給模式履行重建和其他法定職能，其中以象徵式地價批撥土地向來是政府對市建局的主要支援措施之一。這次向市建局批出兩幅土地有助市建局履行舊區重建任務。
