南部葉尾壁虎是澳洲特有種壁虎，因為有著寬大、宛如葉子形狀的尾巴而得名，常分布在昆士蘭州東南部和新南威爾斯州北部沿海山脈中。

It’s the second unique lizard species to be found on the island, with the leaf-tailed gecko discovered at the same remote location in 2023.
