戀愛學上有個新約會模式叫狀況戀愛（situationship），是結合了Situation和Relationship的關係，兩人是在特定狀況下才會像情侶，被視為一種更不費力的戀愛方式。因為可以隨心所欲地進進出出，對現代人來說的確增加了不少可能性。
