他在10歲時確診肥厚型心肌症，2004年起因心律不正，需植入心臟除顫器，但間歇出現心臟衰竭，因此於葛量洪醫院植入心臟再同步治療裝置，同時被列入心臟移植輪候名單，並於葛量洪醫院繼續接受跟進治療。
