至於水的味道及口感，受其溶解性總固體（TDS）含量，含量愈高，表示水的溶解固體包括礦物質含量愈高，據世衛研究報告所指，TDS 含量為每公升25毫克至50毫克的飲用水屬「淡而無味」。

The test revealed that natural mineral water samples had a higher total dissolved solids (TDS) content, which is used to analyze the taste and color of drinking water, but one sample had only 19 mg per liter, which was lower than one of the purified water samples.
