今日（28日）中午12時58分，一輛垃圾車在落馬洲新田公路往上水方向、近新田交匯處失事，直撞路中風琴式防撞欄，將它掃到車頭右方，再直撼「龍門架」鐵柱，66歲姓胡司機頭部及身體多處嚴重受傷，昏迷被困車內。

The driver, surnamed Wu, lost control of the truck when approaching the San Tin Interchange and rammed into barriers before hitting the motorway gantry signs.
