李光昇今早在港台訪問指，涉事棚架是向外反出來倒塌，估計是用作支撐及固定棚架、俗稱「拉掹」的連牆器失效導致，因若是承托的狗臂架出現問題，棚架會向下倒塌。

He said scaffolders should have installed sufficient putlogs when erecting the structure to ensure it was well supported, yet the putlogs could have been unlinked by other workers when carrying out other work.
