《立場新聞》停止運作兩周年，由24個國家組成的媒體自由聯盟（Media Freedom Coalition）發表聯合聲明，對中港政府打壓香港新聞自由及獨立媒體深表關注，又指《香港國安法》打擊香港傳媒業，令香港傳媒加強了自我審查。

In a statement published late on Friday, a government spokesman said the SAR “strongly disapproved of and firmly rejected the fact-twisting remarks and baseless smears” by the Media Freedom Coalition (MFC), which earlier issued its own statement expressing concern about press freedoms here.
