全港各區的「綠在區區」回收站在均在公眾期間休息，但過往市民仍會繼續將回收物棄置回收站外，而在今個聖誕節，不少回收站都出現了大量回收物堆積門外的情況，當中包括「綠在元朗墟」及「綠在紅磡」等。

The entrance of the Green@Community recycling station in Hung Hom was seen piled with a large about of recyclable waste – including carton boxes, packaging for food and drink and some aluminium cans – occupying half of the footpath.
