乳膠氣球為佈置派對場地的必備之選，不過，消委會測試市面有售的19款乳膠氣球產品型號，合共35個樣本，發現全部樣本檢出不同種類的亞硝胺化合物及／或可亞硝化物質，當中部分屬懷疑致癌物，其中近7成型號（13款）檢出該等物質的總遷移量超出歐盟相關的玩具安全規定，反映本港出售的氣球產品超標情況較海外更為普遍。

Hong Kong’s consumer watchdog said that after testing 35 samples of latex balloons sold on the market, over 90 percent contained cancer-causing agents, with only six of the tested samples complied with the EU toy safety requirements.
