血癌「骨髓增生異常綜合症(MDS)」一向被視為罕見病，備受忽略，至今成因未明，患者骨髓的血細胞不能成熟，或需終生靠輸血續命，當中30%患者會惡化成急性血癌，但適切藥物少而需自費。
