中兩間教堂於當日、即紀念耶穌昔日進入耶路撒冷的「棕枝主日」（Palm Sunday）舉辦遊行，按傳統信徒會仿效昔日群眾高舉棕枝在教堂外巡行和唱聖詩，不反對通知書列明主辦方須確保所有參加者手持棕枝或聖枝。
