During the meeting Lukashenko expressed concern about the “aggressive”, “confrontational” and “repulsive” policies of its neighbours Lithuania and Poland and asked Putin to help Belarus mount a “symmetrical response” to what he said were nuclear-armed flights by Nato near Belarus’ borders.
