下午3時許，一輛中型貨車沿龍翔道往觀塘方向行駛，至獅子山隧道對開一個右彎前，懷疑跣胎失控，撞向路邊防撞欄後，餘勢未止繼續衝前，再於獅隧公路橋底撞向一輛輕型貨車翻側，橫亘兩條行車線。
