香港律師會發聲明表示，港區國安法的草案摘要提及行政長官應當指定若干法官，負責處理危害國家安全犯罪案件，認為相關決定將賦予行政長官監察及影響司法機構的權力，損害司法獨立……

對於草案提及內地當局在「特定情形」下對國家安全案件行使管轄權，律師會關注基本人權，包括公平審訊權，是否可得到妥善保障，希望當局盡快澄清。
