政府在 2 月 8 日起實施大陸入境人士強制檢疫，政府下午開記者會，食物及衛生局局長陳肇始表示，至今合共有 1193 人強制檢疫，警方突擊上門檢查了 167 次，加上視象通話、電話聯絡 800 多次，期間發現 9 人離開指定檢疫地點，7 人成功聯絡到，有兩個人未能聯絡，會發出通緝令，考慮作出檢控。
