多個國際環保組織上月就塑膠廢料如何污染印尼的食物鏈發表報告，指出在當地兩處進口塑膠垃圾（主要來自美國）廢棄地點取得的走地雞蛋樣本中，含有顯著有害化學物，包括二噁英、多氯聯苯（PCB）、多溴二苯醚（PBDE）等，均為限制有機污染物的《斯德哥爾摩公約》的管制物質。
