1989年8月23日，200萬人牽手築成「波羅的海之路」，橫跨三國國境，爭取獨立脫離蘇聯；30年後同一天，反對修訂《逃犯條例》示威令地球這一端出現60公里的「香港之路」，人鏈除了沿3條港鐵線伸延，更上山下海，延綿至獅子山頂，登頂人鏈以電筒燃亮獅山山脊，在夜空劃出一道「光鏈」；維港分隔了兩岸，但阻不了人鏈，有人乘小輪來回中環和尖沙嘴，以光連接港九人鏈。
