警方證實，針對近日網上「起底」披露警員私隱，以及攻擊警察網站等行為，網絡安全及科技罪案調查科昨日採取行動，於港九新界中拘捕了 8 人，包括 6 男 2 女，年齡介乎 16 至 40 歲，指他們涉嫌不誠實使用電腦罪、未經同意披露個人資料、刑事毀壞，以及威嚇作刑事毀壞。

这当中最为臭名昭著的，是某即时通讯软件Telegram上一个名为“老豆搵仔”的频道。Telegram因其服务器的加密性，成为香港极端分子互相勾连，对港警和其他相关人士进行“人肉搜索”的网上联络点。

Hong Kong police representatives have said personal information about officers and their friends and relatives had been posted online in an act known as doxxing. On July 3, the police said they had arrested eight people accused of, among other things, disclosing personal information without approval.
