昨晚約10時，逾百白衣人手持棍及藤條，在元朗站閘口喝罵站內穿黑衣市民，市民不敢出閘。民主黨議員林卓廷其後到達元朗站閘內大堂，安撫被困市民，至約10時30分，白衣人衝入閘，用雨傘、棍、藤條等襲擊巿民，更追上月台毆打躲在車廂的人，不少家長帶同小孩慌忙逃離車廂，其間不停有人質問：「警察去了哪兒？」
