2017年，新竹越野機車協會在該場地舉辦一場越野賽時，因1名愛好拍攝機車極限運動的潘姓攝友，站在賽道旁捕抓畫面，正好張姓騎士因衝出車道外，撞上潘男，導致肩胛、肋骨骨折、腎臟受損送醫急救，由於雙方無法和解，因此潘男控告騎士及主辦者。
