香港民族黨是一個「非法社團」，涉及非法社團的罪行，就民族黨而言即適用。為防止可能有人濫用學校平台和資源，推動「港獨」主張或活動，必須提醒學校，切勿租借校舍或設施給予非法社團或成員進行任何活動，以及警惕學生切勿加入非法社團，參加其活動或為其提供資源，以免涉及刑責；又呼籲學校繼續秉持專業操守，緊守工作崗位，防止有個別團體或人士在校園內宣揚「港獨」主張，保障學生免被誤導參與違法活動。

The most serious crimes include managing or assisting in the management of an unlawful society, which may lead to a HK$100,000 fine and three years in prison.
