早前全國人大常委譚耀宗提出結束一黨專政者日後或不能在港參選，譚於電台節目指出，若須進入立法會工作，須對基本法負責任；人大通過修憲後，進一步確立共產黨是國家的執政黨，與中國特色社會主義緊密，而「結束一黨專政」可能與憲法及基本法抵觸：「要佢收檔（結束一黨專政）梗係有問題！」
