多了自修生報考，會否拉低考生成績？按考評局說法，文憑試 24 個高中科目採用水平參照匯報成績，而非相比同屆學生水平的拉曲線評分方法，考生所得的成績能反映他們所學到的知識及技能，而非跟其他考生比較，也不會受其他考生的表現而影響其所得的等級。

That’s not to say that Oscar voters should begin grading on a curve, but like the Emmys, it does help when viewers bring a rooting interest to the party, and don’t have a “What’s that?” reaction as the nominees are announced.
