這裡指的小粉紅是90後到00後的少女一代，她們平時喜歡歐美日韓文化，但另一方面又非常“愛國”，首先發起這波翻牆攻勢的是百度李毅貼吧，裡面有兩千多萬中國網民，以“帝吧出征，寸草不生”為口號，發起所謂的討伐台獨行動。所以基本上是該貼吧的網友和小粉紅的合體。

Young people fired with patriotic zeal are known in China as the “Little Pink”, as “xiaofenhong” in Chinese.
