與其他大大小小規模的風險投資（Venture Capital, VC，即「創投」）一樣，軟庫也投資於創科企業，例如雅虎日本和綫上遊戲開發商工合綫上娛樂（GungHo Online Entertainment），相信軟庫這些投資的過程和故事，都會與投資於阿里巴巴的大同小異，既然軟庫可以做創投，港府也可考慮自己做VC。
