另外，資訊科技界立法會議員莫乃光昨促請政府盡早訂立《資訊自由法》，保障公眾向政府機構索取資料的權利。他表示現時的《公開資料守則》不具法律效力，上年度市民向政府索取資料的投訴創新高，他與其他議員和民間組織將就資訊自由法草擬私人條例草案，但強調若要盡快立法，政府草擬草案是最好的做法。
