近日，金管局以「事在必行」，提出7項新政諮詢業界，推動構建智慧銀行，包括虛擬銀行發牌和為快速支付系統拆牆鬆綁等，此乃「刻不容緩」之舉，因為香港必須追趕先進金融科技，強化競爭力，避免出現經濟支柱金融業受到衝擊、落後於如新加坡等主要競爭對手等情况。
