港交所（0388）提出推「創新板」的同時，建議全面改革創業板，將之重新定位為一個獨立板塊，而非像以往般作為「主板踏腳石」的角色，取消簡化轉板申請程序，更重新命名為「GEM」，不再叫創業板，亦沒有中文名字。
