葡萄牙中部上周六下午發生特大山火，導致至少六十二人喪生，五十四人受傷，多人困於在車內活活燒死。相信山火是旱天雷擊中大樹引發，政府宣布哀悼三天。

旱天雷是指沒有為地面帶來雨水的雷電，其實產生這種雷電的雲也有降雨，只是雨點未到達地面前，已於空氣中蒸發。當雲層處於較高的上空，而雲與地面之間的空氣濕度很低，便有可能出現這種現象。
