內閣會議昨晨公開《有關天皇退位等事宜之皇室典範特例法案》,同日提交眾議院。內容列明當今天皇明仁退位後,皇位會由皇嗣德仁繼承。明仁退位後將獲奉為「上皇」,美智子皇后則成為「上皇后」,兩者皇籍得以保留,但明仁將不獲皇位繼承權,皇室公務亦幾乎完全卸下。
