泰國軍方於二〇一四年五月推翻英祿政府，翌年，國會以她在二〇一一年推行的大米收購計畫涉嫌瀆職而通過了對她的彈劾案，為此，英祿被禁止五年內不得參政。同時，當局下令對其罰款三百五十億泰銖（約七百七十八萬港元），目前此案尚未了結。

Despite a veneer of stability Thais remain divided and uncertain over the future three years after the ousting of the elected government of Yingluck Shinawatra. Protest and political gatherings are banned while dissidents have been rounded up on charges of sedition or breaching junta orders, or under draconian royal defamation legislation.
