國泰航空今日開始進行大裁員，分階段裁減總部600名員工，但不影響前線地勤員工、機師、及機艙服務員。港九工團聯合總會3名成員今早到國泰城外請願，向上班的員工派發信件，反對國泰因油價對沖虧蝕而對基層員工開刀，促國泰進行內部調配，穩定員工士氣。
