上周四（21日），張耀升在此處在救火時不幸殉職；火已撲熄，今午烈日當空，各人神情哀傷，約200名親友及同袍，下午3時到現場路祭，張耀升遺孀陳美樺與女親友由七人車接載，下車後她們牽著手，十指緊扣，由一名高級消防區長及消防員陪同到場，站到第一排，旁邊還有數名親友。
