當年的快樂抗爭凝聚萬人包圍立法會，也影響往後的保衞新界東北、反國民教育等社運，一直恪守和平、理性、非暴力原則，但這種「和理非」抗爭逐漸被質疑、被 唾棄。雨傘運動中後期，勇武派主張拆大台，後來連串的光復行動，雖受非議，也有人認同。
