2014年台灣劣質油風波震驚港台兩地，引發港人對食用油及廢油回收的關注，環境保護署於今年2月中，推出廢置食用油回收行政登記計劃，讓本地合資格的廢置食用油收集商、處理商及出口商免費登記。
