由於家庭危機是是現代性尤其是自由主義的思想理念所推動的，自由主義本身能否給出化解之道，還未可知。西方國家大量丁克家庭的出現，導致的恐怕不僅僅是家庭危機、人性危機，同時也將是人類危機。

In the latest survey by the Family Planning Association, about 28.4 per cent of respondents reported that their ideal number of children was zero, reflecting that nowadays in Hong Kong, a certain proportion of couples voluntarily choose to be child-free and live the DINK (double income, no kids) lifestyle.
