「禁制令」，是一種衡平法下的補救形式。顧名思義，禁制令即法庭為禁止某人士（一般為案件的被告）作出特定行為而發出的命令，一般而言，法庭在審訊完畢後才頒發的禁制令，對被告具永久約束力。但由於審訊需時，而在審訊前，該特定行為可能已或將會對原告造成損失，在這種情況下，原告可以選擇在審訊前向法庭申請「非正審強制令」，或稱「臨時禁制令」。
