康文署月初修剪大埔墟鷺鳥林致巢毁鳥亡，大批鷺鳥受傷，29隻雛鳥被送往嘉道理農場搶救，僅8隻生還。嘉道理農場暨植物園人員昨於大埔元洲仔放生3隻年幼鷺鳥，包括兩隻因康文署修樹工程受傷的小白鷺。

Among the rescued birds, five were dead on site, eight lived and six are under intensive care in the Wild Animal Rescue Centre of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden. The birds in rehabilitation suffered from a wide range of injuries, including bone fractures, feather damage and tissue bruising.
