這種「去中國化」的情緒延續至今。為發泄這種情緒,近年內地網友用「紅朝」、「中共國」、「西朝鮮」、「(圖一)朝」(「(圖一)朝」,音義均同「天朝」,但網民卻拆開成「王八」,用來罵中共是「王八朝」)等貶詞來稱呼中國,最近更有網友直呼為「你國」或「趙國」。

That word is niguo, translated as “your country”, and it is the most prominent of a new lexicon of words that both mainland and overseas Chinese are using online to distance themselves from the injustice, bigotry and bad behaviour that have become commonplace in China.
