昨午2時許，袁駕電單車沿荃錦公路落斜，駛至石崗一右彎時，對面線一輛掛T牌由43歲陳姓男子駕駛的平治房車疑越線，平治與電單車迎頭相撞，袁撞後被拋上車頭撞向大銀幕，再反彈10米墮地重傷昏迷，警員及救護員到場將袁送院搶救，惜已不治。

西九龍交通部特遣隊高級督察周富燊表示，昨午4時30分，派出2名人員放蛇，透過Uber租用一輛奔馳房車和一輛奔馳四驅車，分別在紅磡鐵路站及何文田勝利道登車，前往九龍塘玫瑰街。
