The young protesters’ actions in the legislature were a symbolic gesture expressing their anger, despair and helplessness. Graffiti such as “HK is not China,” “No Riot, but Tyranny” and “Dirty Cop” left on the walls of the Legislative Council Chamber reflected their anger.
