每年一度的無家者世界盃，目的是借助足球訓練和比賽，讓曾經遭遇生活挫折的無家者重拾信心，重建生活目標。歷屆主辦國的調查顯示，參加世界盃的各國球員中，近七成在比賽後一年逐步恢復工作、重返家庭或者繼續學業。
