NASA在本港時間今日凌晨零時舉行發佈會，宣布開普勒太空望遠鏡（Kepler Space Telescope）最新發現。NASA事前發表聲明稱﹕「21年前，系外行星，尤其是像地球這樣的小世界，仍屬於科幻範疇事物。惟在發現了數以千計星宿後的今天，天文學家正處於發現另一個地球——這個人類夢想了數千年之物——的轉折點。」
