警方O記高級警司李桂華昨在記者會上表示,前晚七時,五名休班警員在深水埗鴨寮街看見一名男子,在排檔以四千二百元購買十支強力雷射筆,由於形迹可疑,當警員上前了解,對方即作出逃跑,遂以涉嫌藏有攻擊性武器將其拘捕,男子事後報稱不適,送院治理。

Possession of offensive weapon in public place is an offence contrary to section 33 of the Public Order Ordinance ( Chapter 245 )… An “offensive weapon” is any article made, or adapted for use, or suitable, for causing injury to the person, or intended by the person having it in their possession or under their control for such use by them or by some other person.
