調解督導委員會今日就是否在香港制訂道歉法例，展開六個星期的公眾諮詢。道歉法例主要是藉澄清道歉的法律後果，提倡和鼓勵道歉，促使各方可友善地和解爭議。

A proposed “sorry law” will most likely be used by the government and other public entities, according to Democratic Party lawmaker and lawyer Albert Ho Chun-yan.

The Department of Justice yesterday launched a six-week public consultation to collect views on whether apology legislation should be introduced.
