另外，九巴亦響應社聯主辦的「長者日」，凡展示「長者咭」、身份證或旅遊證件的65歲以上長者，當天均可免費乘搭任何九巴或龍運路線，包括機場路線在內，享用此優老無需使用八達通卡，當日長者八達通所扣除的車資將設定為0元。

The Senior Citizen Card Scheme (SCCS), launched by the SWD in 1994, aims to promote a spirit of care and respect for the elderly. Hong Kong residents aged 65 or above are eligible for application. As at January 2015, the SWD had issued about 1.55 million Senior Citizen Cards. More than 90 per cent of eligible elderly persons in Hong Kong are Senior Citizen Card holders.
