行政局也替聯邦司法體系的中央行政決策組織「美國司法會議」服務。除了提供統計資料給該會議的各委員會之外，行政局也充當交予司法會議之數據和提議的接收處和數據交換處。行政局還擔任聯邦司法體系與司法會議的溝通者，也是司法部與國會、行政部門、專業團體，以及一般大眾往來的窗口。

Congress instituted the Judicial Conference for the benefit of the courts it had created. Because the Judicial Conference is an instrument for the management of the lower federal courts, its committees have no mandate to prescribe rules or standards for any other body.
